Blind by Rachel DeWoskin (Review)

Blindness is a serious matter. Rachel DeWoskin has written a beautiful story to capture this. Emma Silver is a sophomore at Lake Main High School. Emma was a normal girl who lived a nice life. She had lots of friends, and she loved life. But then an accident happened. While at a Fourth of July party the summer before freshman year, a freak accident with fireworks left Emma sightless. Now she must learn how to be the new Emma, the blind Emma. She finds out that being blind is a lot harder than it seems, and she must cope with her new problem. This book is outstanding, and really helps you understand how hard it is to be sightless, and what it’s like. I would give this book a five out of five star rating, and I think it is a great book.
